Welcome to Kajo Yoga Hämeenlinna
Yoga in the Heart of the City
Kajo Yoga School is a collective of yoga teachers and movement therapists. Each teacher schedules and sells their own services, but we share the space and equipment. I am honored to hold classes here, in this space that has been a yoga studio for almost a decade. My esteemed colleagues offer Senior Yoga, Maternity Yoga, Rosen Body Therapy, Dance Movement Therapy, Yoga Sutra Workshops, and much more.

Class Description
Morning Yoga
This early morning class begins slowly and gently, but gradually builds towards a steady and energizing flow of various standing yoga postures. Some seated postures at the end of class help ground our energy for the day ahead! A balanced practice in every way. This class is suitable for all levels.
Gentle Flow
The class begins with a longer seated warm-up, followed by a standing sequence to help build strength and flexibility. Props are incorporated to assist with relaxation, balance, support, and posture. The class ends back on the mat with restorative poses that relax the body and unwind the nervous system. Great for those who want to learn an accessible approach to the most common yoga poses. This class is suitable for all levels.
Flow
An invigorating class where we move at a steady pace that is sure to energize the body and mind! Great for beginners who want to challenge themselves or advanced practitioners looking for a steady flowing practice. This class is suitable for all levels, but some yoga experience is recommended.
Vinyasa Flow
A fun and vigorous class where advanced postures are introduced. Each vinyasa class is different but typically includes all categories of asanas such as standing, seated, arm-balances, twists, inversions, forward bends, and backbends. The benefit is a great depth of postural understanding as you move mindfully with the breath. It is recommended that students have some understanding of the basic postures before advancing to this level.
Candlelight Yoga
If it’s complete relaxation you have in mind, Candlelight Yoga might be the calm you seek. This class is a gentle practice that helps you stretch and relax your body using props like bolsters, blocks, straps and blankets. In Candlelight Yoga, you’ll be provided with the support you need to relax, breathe in — and simply let go. You can expect the majority of this class to be on the floor, in seated poses, with a brief standing series. This class is suitable for all levels.

The space is very warm and cozy. The maximum number of participants for each class is 12. There are two toilets and a small changing room. Unfortunately, there are no showers available. I use essential oils and palo santo (100% wood incense). Let me know ahead of class if you are sensitive to this and I will do my best to not use any aromatherapy that day.
